Thanks again everyone. I have decided to buy either a forklift or a tractor with a front end loader. I’ll load everything on pallets. I’m not gonna be climbing anymore.

Good plan! Can’t do this with a ladder!

Damn Dude! When I saw the title of the thread I was scared to open it. Good to see you're at least doing well enough to type. Best wishes.

  10. Here's to your speedy recovery but don't push yourself. Mending fully takes time and winter recovery leads to a warmer season of getting back to all that we love.

So, I got some good news. I went the orthopedic surgeon today and he said the round part where you rotator cuff attaches was broken, but still in alignment. So that means no surgery.
Just for giggles, here is a shot of new staples. IMG_3418.jpeg

Hey Chris, we will have matching scars! I had my head stapled shut in the same spot several years ago. It will leave a lovely ridge on your scalp to remind you;)

More ribbing coming your way..........Falling on your thick skull saved ya......laugh meter pegged....

  22. Lets add rigging and hydraulics to the equation - Jumping out of the pan into the fire.

  23. However, I would never get under it as pictured, I did that to look at the transmission, from a distance, almost zero chance of getting hurt, I don’t know what I would do without my loader

I remember working on some scaffolding, and the boss had a 12' wooden 3 legged step ladder and was doing something stupid on it .... over reaching and swinging a hammer or something .... He tipped the ladder over.

I will never forget standing above him on the scaffolding and watching him fall.
He hit the ladder and rotated and was heading to the concrete head first.
It happened very quickly but it was like watching in slow motion .... It was strange how time seemed to slow down.
Anyways I got off the scaffolding and never even checked on him, just headed straight to a phone to call a ambulance, he was knocked out cold.
By the time I got across the building to a phone he was coming around and trying to get up so I ran back to him .... He called his wife and had her take him in for x rays.
That was 15 years ago and remember it in slow motion today .... I really thought he had a good chance of dying while watching it.
Ladders I believe is #1 cause of accidents in the work force.
