I wonder if we all see color the same? Both of my sons are Red- Green "color blind" so I suppose there are some differences in the rest of us. Just asking.

The research suggests we do, unless you're colour blind. Because colour is a wavelength of light and because of the way the cones of the eye receive and perceive that light, it's likely that we are seeing the same colour. There's a theory that you what one person sees as blue could be red to another, but the way we perceive and compare natural objects (the sky, trees, grass, soil) to manmade things suggests that your red is my red.

  6. Bob Lafay chopped the top of a '33 pickup to create this cool RP featured in the February, 1963 issue of PHR. Curious: We call a coupe that's been converted to a roadster a "coupster." What do we call a pickup that's been roadster-ized? A "pickster?" (I think that "truckster" has already been used...)

  7. And right across the page is this beauty by Walt Pearce.

  8. It says he cut the top off of a 33 pickup, but that's an original roadster pickup.

well-it alludes to him chopping it not cutting roof off--but now it looks like they made not only 32 but 33 as well--roadster p/u's- would love to see more pics of any of these!

Ford even made a few 34 roadster pickups. I believe that there is one in the classifieds for sale in Hawaii currently

I don't remember if I posted this one before, and I don't know how to check. Anyway, I built it in 1964.

I like it but the side view has some horizontal mixed messages. plugs a rear wheel placement issue. Maybe that is a photo angle thing.

  15. I believe it is an angle thing, i bet the wheels /tires are wider than they look. The engine is at a steep angle...Still very nice. JW

The bed has a backwards slope and the radiator braces have a curve. For me the braces make the radiator shell look too high. Just some things I can't unsee.
