    2 x 4 barrels? My gut says that's over-carbed.

    How do you know?
    What size carbs are they?
How much cam and compression does his V12 have?

Disconnect the secondaries.... then you have 2 , 2 bbls.

    I don't know.

That's why I said 'my gut.'

I was going by no information and not very clear pictures.
My gut is like saying 'my guess.' It is not a definitive, absolute, data based ***essment or claim of absolute knowledge.
I'm sorry you took offence at my use of language.

I not an expert on Holleys, is what I like to use. But some thing about the float bowls being both left hand feed with a front to back feed tube. Just something I've never seen. I had a 390cfm on a 6L I built a long time ago [40 yrs], pretty sure it was a 1850 look a like.

There are better pics if you click the FB ad.

  9. Looks like the air cleaner cover was a couple of super glide covers joined at the hip.

If I had the extra money I would buy it just to have, looks cool.

Lincoln Flathead V12's are about the poorest breathing, most volumetrically inefficient engine ever m*** produced. It is a neat setup, but there is likely a very good reason it is not attached to a running engine....

So for those without F-book, and for posterity, here's a pitcher of the thing:

Looks like the part number is BBH-2022 but the 0 is questionable.
    Might help with searches though.

FWIW, those early small CFM Holleys were OEM on late-'50s FoMoCo V8s. The seller has added a lot of exteraneous bling with dual feed lines on carbs with a front-rear transfer tube. Those were certainly never built by Holley.

Yep. The Holleys have those hex head bowl screws as well, so most likely are modern ones.

Thanks Beanscoot. I was starting to feel left behind and was ready to fold and join FB but they frown on that when you're in witness protection....

Or bitsa from new and old. I've got a basket full of Holley parts and cores I need to get to some of you who still build them. PM me if interested.
