  1. Believe it when I see it. Would be great for it to be seen again. Greatest discovery this century nah! If you found the remains of the Hilborn or Rufi streamliners that would be the greatest discovery. As @Moriarity said the greatest re-emergence has been the Golden Sahara & Kookie T.

I like capsules no matter the provenance...they're all part of the big picture...especially if they missed a 70s + facelift...

    From the article:

"The re-emergence of this car from the unknown is truly remarkable. It will first be shown in its as-found at the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona, Feb. 2-4, and at the Detroit Autorama in March, and then lead restoration specialist Dave Shuten will restore the car to the exact look, configuration, and design of its 1965 debut."

Favorite of mine since I built the Model as a Kid. Thought I had some pics of that built? I do recall I loaned that model build to a Willys Enthusiast and Member of Mid-America Willys Club. In return I received a Curbside 52 Willys model build of his. Anyway, I'm stoked it has been found and will end up where we all can see it!

Yup! Just got done reading the article my self a few minutes ago. It’s real and not a January’s Fool joke! Landed on the article by accident on a different tangent.

I’m really glad it’s still around and will be restored. The hot rod world should be about pushin* limits and ideas, not paint by number status symbols

I didn't think it was going to be alive, so to speak. The write up was a little exuberant on the virtues of the car; the fact that Barris slapped Scot was unknown to me!
