mercedes silver with HOK flake over it as base, then sprayed blue pearl over lace, removed the lace then buried it all in clear.
i wanted to hip you to a true paint legend, who is a humble as they come: Butch Lynch who was the mastermind behind my `Bird has been flaking cars since the 60's while he was working for Winfield while just in his teens. Painting cars almost killed him via cancer... the only word that comes to mind is MASTER. I am just lucky he came out of retirement (and his deathbead) to bless my car with flake... We used 100% Old School flake and it is a badass system. to check out all the action on one thread: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=77010
Sometimes Omni clear can do some discolorations to Flake....Most of our product comes from the same supplier as the H boys and is epoxy coated ..We haven't had issues of fading or any issues besides early label issues and that little buddy of ours is long gone.. http://www.rothmetalflake.com
