Anyone have any pictures of, or know where Herb Wetson's 32 Ford Hi Boy Roadster is? Herb is from Long Island NY He had a chain of hemberger stands on Long Island. In the 70s, he had a white 1932 Ford Hot Rod. Anybody know anything about this car, where is it today, who owns now, Anything ? Thanks,
I believe his real name is Herb Wetanson. He has a private collection of cars in Southampton so perhaps he still owns it. I checked the internet and the address is 218 North Highway Southampton but I’m not sure how you’d ever get in to see the cars. He was heavily into Porsches.
He has been into cars since the 1960's and races Vintage Sports Cars, don't know him, but enjoy watching the stuff run, good stuff. Bob
I screen shot some pics off of the internet of a ‘32 in his collection. Don’t know if this is it but it wouldn’t surprise me.
Thanks for all the replies, The reason I'm asking, in the mid 60's I had a 32 3W and a 32 roadster. The roadster was way beyond my capabilities and budget, plus I didn't have the space. So I sold the roadster. Herb Wetson was glad to buy it. He was the perfect buyer since it was going to take a bundle of money and talent($$$$) to bring it back. Years later I found out that he built a Hi Boy. I never saw it. I'm just trying to track down a picture of the completed car. Thanks.
Yup, the roadster in his collection is a possibility, but certainly rebuilt again after the 60s or 70s. If so he put two bundles of money into it. I'll try and contact him directly. Thanks
Here are some pictures a friend found. We believe it is the Herb Wetson 32 Ford roadster from the 70's that I have been trying to track down. When I sold it to Herb it was a rusted, aged, abused, deteriorated incomplete 32 Ford roadster body on a 32 frame, no roof, no interior, included a dashboard, doors and deck lid, nothing else. It was in sad shape and needed A LOT of help. Anybody know anything about this car, where is it today, who owns now, Anything ? It's possible Herb rebuilt and refinished the car and that's what's in his collection today. Thanks, The below pictures are from the mid to late 70's ( sorry for the picture quality )
