Does anyone know of a source for the little red decals that were on Stelling & Hellings air cleaners?

I'm looking for the ones with the racer with the handlebar mustache that went on the side? I have a nice original pair that someone removed the decals.

    Thanks,

    Tim

I thought they had two versions of it, a red decal and a blue one. Which one are you looking for?

    Hello guys,
thinking about making some decals / stickers and i would like to ask if someone have filter with oval decal in good shape to be used as sample to make new ones. I would need very good quality photo with dimensions.
The red one - round shape will be available soon.

    Hello guys,
Here is the sample print. Of course it will be cut round and ready to use.
I've hand made Hellings & Stellings style air cleaners only a little bit larger diameter for better flow - 5 1/2" outside DIA . I will place the stickers on after they will be back from chrome plating.

@V8-m You should always use full image, makes it easier to see.

Did you spin those or are they a thick top with the skirt welded on? They look good. I have a set of the ones that David Wolk used to sell. They're beautiful but I do feel that most of the little ones are pretty restrictive. I stuck them on a test setup in the fanroom at work and checked restriction with the whole assembly, bonnet/base without filter, and then just the filter with a plate on top but no bonnet. There was quite a difference between the assembly and the exposed filter. Will you post a classified when you have decals available? Keep us up to date on the progress of the oval ones as well please. Do you know which ones are appropriate for what time period?

Top is spinned and skirt welded. Thank you for kind words. I'm waiting when they come back from chrome plating. I will post the pictures.
Stickers are already available. Will post on classifieds.

I'm still looking for someone who could take good quality photos and measurements of the oval sticker. The person who helps me will receive 4 new stickers.

Hi! I love those. I have four of them and and some different models of breathers from Stelling and Helling. I have taken some photos with measurements for you I'll send them in a private message. Unfortunately the sticker isn't in that great condition, but I hope it helps, anyway. What I can see from the picture above, mine is a little different. The white around the mustache is not jagged like that, the picture of the car has more white and a little different design. also the alignment between the different colors is not as good on mine. I guess different batches and different print shops?.
But do do things even more complicated I have another design of this decal with a square red shape, and the text on the bottom. It' also says "Burbank". as opposite to "North Hollyood" on the oval one. I guess they relocated. On that one the print seems to have more refined details.
Two of mine have inserts for motorcycle carbs, I guess thats why the decal is upside down. Could also be that they had different stickers for cas and motorcycles since they have the text about handlebars on the square one. Or did they change name to include the "handlebars & accessories"? (I had a garage pal earlier that run an old Hellings handle bar. really cool set up)

my guess is they fist were located in North Hollywood (oval stickers), then moved to Burbank (square stickers), later when merged with Stelling they changed to red circular ones. and after that kept the design but changed colour to blue.
I think the blue were the last one because I had a couple of nos breathers with the blue one earlier, and the design and shape and seize of them made me think they were made to fit the second generation of HEMI engines (sold them to a guy with an 426 to :) . These stickers look great.

But water slide decals would be more correct. There are some places that do waterslide decals, and since you already have the artwork figured out...

Thanks for kind words. I considered producing a water decal, but as everyone probably knows, it is not durable and resistant to weather conditions, so I made stickers. However, it is possible that I will make a short series and check its durability. I wouldn't want the customer to spend money and then be dissatisfied with the product.
    @Fortunateson
I didn't think about production for sale. I made two for myself. There is a lot of work involved and the price would not be comparable to mass production. The chrome plating itself costs more than the filters available on the market (certainly those made in China).

Hello again after a long time. I've been very busy with a customer's car, but I finally managed to make some progress with the oval Hellings decals. I should have them printed in a week or two.
I want to make two versions - a sticker and a water slide. The question is how many of you want the stickers and how many of you want the water slide.
The first thing I will do is make the stickers available and take pre-orders for the water slide version
    Photos coming soon.
