    Can’t find my way home

    Hello,

I spent more time in the current garage in the past month than ever. I had two major projects to finish, including a small hot rod car project for my wife as a surprise gift. I had been working on/off for a week or so and wanted to get it finished. One needed immediate attention as it was time sensitive.

Since I had moved the last set of Bluetooth speakers to my wife’s home computer, I had to use another single Bass powered unit for my new/old Ipod music device. The digital sounds still resonated all over the garage and made me think about those early times during our relatively care-free lives as20 somethings. It has come around to being retired and living a similar simple lifestyle without the worry of Sunday night/Monday morning anticipation of income into our lives.

It is fine as retired folks. It is too bad we could not have done it in our 30s-40s. But, that phase is compared to what? A simple lifestyle. The project of a custom painted 55 Chevy in a sealed globe went through plenty of design phases from paint, body work to what glue is best. From all quick turn on electrical fantasy lights to mini flakes to make it like snow from the 50s in OKC. The cleared counter was perfect for the work. The shallow drawer below the counter surface held all of the necessary parts and supplies. So, listening to “Can’t Find My Way Home” was provided as my wife + car was gone for the morning.

The song was from a recording from a super group called, Blind Faith in those long time ago days. Written and sung by Steve Winwood. It has been my wife’s ring tone on my phone and also, she laughs, but it is “her” theme song over the years. I have to diagram or show directions on a map when she gets outside of her comfort zone in her daily driver.

That song was on a list of doubles and attached to another song we both remember. The second song was one that helped us find a nice house as it was being played on recorded screen video in a display monitor on a home tour visit a long time ago. The song was “Tears in Heaven,” by Eric Clapton.

Since I gave myself plenty of time to listen to those two songs on a repeat loop play list, I got the next steps finished in my surprise project, without any errors. YRMV

  15. @jnaki ...I love Blind Faith, along with Traffic, Cream, Procol Harem, etc, so "Can't Find My Way Home is in my rotation many times.

I knew I was going to be in the shop all day yesterday & wanted to get as much done as possible. I thought about for a couple of minutes & decided I wanted to listen to some amazing Blues Guitar, so I put in a bunch of Gary Moore CD's

This is one of my all time favorite songs, Gary's guitar just cries with the blues!

    God Bless
