Technical Storage shed parts. 368 Lincoln?

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by anthony myrick, Jan 30, 2024.

  1. Dang. Just had one go through the s**** yard last month. Had the brackets on it.
But if this guy uses this 368 in his A he probably won’t need the PS

Well, I was hoping Anthony, & that mill + gauges, could do a "conversion" to a nice rod. If anyone could, it'd be Anthony. :) .

don't see a road draft tube. looks like maybe a PCV set-up. wouldn't that move it up towards '60?

56-57 continental mk2 engine.hand ***embled and fully balanced.10.8 comp ratio and 300 hp.
Runs strong but is easy to get pinging.
If change exhaust manifolds and modify oil pan it fits 57 mercury turnpike cruiser.
Transmission is pan coded medium case single range cruise o matic.later dual range or fmx will bolt its place, but you have to change input shaft or change torque converter too.its having road draft tube.its in front integrated to oil fill.

If you haven't started on the motor, I'd suggest a compression test & a leak down test, & if those are good, I'd suggest NOT taking it apart as those Continental motors were select-***embled(read : "Blueprinted") & dynoed from the factory prior to being installed in the cars! If it's good, why mess with it?? Same with the trans, especially if you are building a "Cruiser"!! There are others doing this motor, but if you have questions you can "PM" me...

  9. The engine is probably gonna end up in a model A rodent.
The plan is to just do what it takes to run it. It’s been in dry storage.
Kinda hope to trade it off him
