History Edsel race cars?

Ugly doesn't affect the speed. Race an Edsel, and set yourself up for greatness!

 

Everybody forgot this famous Edsel race team.....

 

I remember about 20 years ago there was a drag Edsel named Edselleration- IIRC it ran high 10s

 

When I was a kid, my Dad's accountant traded Cadillacs every year, but he was also into Edsels and always had one in his garage. I don't recall if he ever drove it, but it was always in the back of the garage.

 

...With the optional Thermador and the rare factory dingle-balls!

Only an Edsel body the chassis is an I.M.C.A modified, likely with a G.M. 602 crate engine.

Unfortunately, this is what passes for vintage racing in many places.
