When you gotta nice rubber running board, why the useless step-plate wart?

This is RPU that a friend of my bought up in Hesperia CA a couple of years ago, it was rodded a long time ago and now got a new home here in Umeå in Sweden. I had it at a Guitar Show here in Umeå and did some lettering on the car and some pinstriping on Guitars and then Doug Seegers showed up after a gig in town so we took a snap of him and rhe RPU. 8400D17F-D41E-403E-B779-C9009599780A.jpeg 61396115-DCD7-4360-9299-2A0095D39A99.jpeg 4CB71EF3-3DD4-4D71-8430-BE35D59C1A06.jpeg

Thanks to these comments from the two of you and this link https://aafords.com/aa-chassis/aa-16000-fenders/#fffsb, I seem to have learned something and solved a mystery on my RPU project.

I seem to have AR fenders on my truck (originally a Phaeton, but will be a RPU), and if the hole beside the driver's side kick panel is correct, my A might be an AR (or at least parts of it).

I received my truck with both front fenders, the driver's side needing a lot of work. They both have the 7" measurement as shown in the link. I bought another driver's fender years ago needing less work, but I now see it's the later style with a 3-1/8" flange. The AR fenders need a lot more work, but seeing them side by side they're so much nicer than the later ones, and I think I'll be able to get them fixed up.

Sincere thanks to you both, your comments made me try to figure out what I have, and it seems I have some neat front fenders.

I Just got my 29 back from the upholstery shop. I am loving it, they did it exactly the way I wanted it (see drawing). IMG_0682.jpg IMG_0684.jpg IMG_0685.jpg IMG_0184.jpg
