Event Coverage GNRS 2024 Live From Pomona

I assume you are referring to the Squeeg's tub. That is their display, the buffer is display-no one actually ran the buffer. They even had a "spilled" mixing cup of candy red "soiling" the white carpet. Best display of the show in my opinion.

 

In the '65 Winternationals show in the Pan Pacific Auditorium, George Barris did actually use a buffer with rubbing compound in the show set up with other cars around. I was incredulous he would do that.

 

The 57 is to die for. Perfect in every detail plus a great story behind it and the owners lives.

 

Yet another reason why the GNRS is on my bucket list. Seeing the Dead Sleds plaque on another thread got me thinking Memo Ortega might be strolling around the grounds.

Tom, As in the past I look forward to your coverage of all the events you attend. Thank you for the great shots. It is surprising how many cars I see on your posts that I missed at the event. You made a good choice in leaving when you did, we're getting heavy rain now that started at around 1:00PM. Thanks for all your effort and the shots you've taken of my '32 Roadster at the LARS make it look much better than it is, you have a gift for composition and angles. I look forward to your coverage of the June Roadster show. Ron

The "highlight" of Squeeg's display was the half-eaten sandwich with the big greasy mark!
