The C&O Austin pickup was never painted blue. However, maybe you are thinking of the Meyer and Cluff Austin pickup pictured below? It did run a Blown Chrysler engine as well. I Wonder If the Meyer and Cluff austin pickup is still around today?
Your 62 chevy sounds cool! Thanks for sharing!

That was the great thing about living near C&O. As a kid I could ride my bike over there and watch them work on many famous race cars, especially around the Winternationals or other big meets.
Later, I had them do a Hydro for my Olds powered ‘47 Ford coupe. Later still, Gene and I worked together to put a PG behind the 392 in my Flatbottom and I did some work on his Vega and Camaro race cars. I used to go hang out there on my lunch hour. I lost contact when I retired and moved away. Have you tried to contact Gene? I hope he’s still a**** us..

Thanks … the one I remember was more of a light metallic turquoise.
I mostly street raced the ChevyII on Hawthorne Blvd like most in the South Bay. At Lions under AHRA rules it was cl***ified as: Formula 4 B-Hot Rod or F4/BHR on the window. I still have the Lions 3 trophies for cl*** wins.
I was still hanging around their shop when Gene built the “Destroyer” Jeep.

That's cool man! Thanks for sharing!
Hmm, this is the only other blue one that comes to mind. The McCullough Bros austin pickup. But not really a turqoise in color?

I think I can help with the light blue C&O truck , they ran a light blue Willys before the Austin. I know I have magazines with the truck in it.
