^Removing the upper paint divider on a '55 seems like a popular deletion. It's a part that I have always loved. Is there some particular dislike for that piece of trim among the custom faction? Just curious.

removing that pc of trim makes the car look longer and lower, that vert pc breaks up an otherwise long straight pc of trim. my opinion makes the car sleeker and cleaner without it. I took it off my 55 that was built in the early 80's

  14. Probably the first piece I’d remove if I had one for myself.
I’m not interested in a stock looking 55

I've often thought that if the one-fifty model had the side trim of the two-ten I would like them more, Just me!
These are my favorite factory two tone colors, they do help to give the one-fifty a little more zing.

She's a sweetheart but don't you think she deserves a middle name.
    What should it be.......hmmm

  21. similar but different to what you wrote... (ZZZIP! flame suit on)... I personally think the worst piece of stainless available to '55's is the one at the end of the quarter spear to the bumper that so many are prone to use whether the car is a single color, or two tone. When a single color '55 doesn't use that, to my immediate eye it makes the car appear longer. And, on a traditional two-tone '55 I think it makes the color blocking on the car look... clunky. If a '55 is going to be two tone I much prefer just the roof being the 2nd color, instead of the roof, trunk and upper quarter flanks. I have the same opinion for '56 owners that do the faux-Belair paint breaks on a 210.

jumping off my soapbox in 3...2...
