I remember one back in the early hamb days running a 460 and always thought it would be such a wolf in sheep’s clothing. I’d love to see what you’d do with one. Great find in the cl***ifieds.
My dad's best pal's was Olds powered... and for some reason, that has always made a lot of sense to me. ... And mine would have to be black - preferably old paint that shines up nice. Lee Pratt stance ( I would want old people to comment about it being too low). Simple interior... and I'd have it unchopped while dreaming of the perfect chop.
That car is an outright steal. Rust free running Merc coupes at that price are unheard of these days. My dad's first car was a '51 Merc in '57. He got the itch to go faster and made the jump to a '51 Olds so he could have the overhead V8. Terrible car he always said but great engine and in retrospect always wished he'd instead spent the money to put an Olds in his Merc and really had something.
I'm trying to get my buddy Blakmerk to buy it, but he is a bit of a chicken ***. Love that car. -Abone.
I had high hopes for that amazing drive to Tennessee.. Pump the brakes. It was for sale about three days after I had posts in the ground with a fresh concrete floor. Almost a new garage. I’ve always wanted a nice Merc. Mine is not nice, it’s been treated like a tractor/stunt car. I hope whoever buy’s it will let me at least sit in it someday. I love that car.
seems like quite a bargain... how did the body stay bone stock for so long? If it came to my house it would get white tuck n roll interior, nosed and decked, frenched headlights and shaved door handles immediately .... I like the tail dragger look this car has....
