Anyone ever use these on any of there cars? Here's a link to there Website: http://www.spiralturbobaffles.com/streetrod.html And here is a link to a sound bite: http://www.spiralturbobaffles.com/customer/onramp.wav I have a situation on my A-Sedan where I need a baffle / muffler that will slide into a 2.5" I.D. exhaust pipe. Your feed back will be much appreciated. Glenn
I know a few guys in the 4x4 world that have used them. I think they sound a lot like the moroso spiral mufflers. Not a whole lot of noise reduction at the top end. They have a big idle sound, not super loud if you know what I mean. I just ran 2.5 mandrel bent exhaust with a true x pipe on my 30 over 390fe in my 1956 f100. I used the magnaflo stainless bullet mufflers for space reasons. The truck is loud, even with the exhaust going all the way to the back. I had thought of using a set in my exhaust. Right now my whole exhaust is out being high heat powder coated. I am going to wrap it with the black fibergl*** tape. I hope it sounds healthy, not broken.
looks just like the insert in the twister mufflers and moroso spirals. i tired the twisters in 3" on my dart, they were loud. pretty cool that you can get the insert and do some cool things with them. but it seems kind of pricey to me. are the prices per pair or each anyway?
Here's a tech piece Dreadman did on making your own baffles. This technique could be easily adapted to your situation. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=168222&highlight=make+your+own+baffles Another method for making baffles at home is outlined by a *****. http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=123933&highlight=make+your+own+baffles
I know how to build them, what I'm looking for is anyone that is using them in an exhaust system, not 8 stright pipes.
Reviving a 15 year old post…. In that time anyone here have any first hand experiences with STS baffles? I have an honest 425 horse motor I need to tame down slightly.
