It is with great sadness that I regret to inform everyone that knew our Father, Jim Lyle, that he p***ed away at home this morning peacefully. He wanted us to thank everyone for the comradery and the many friendships that he enjoyed so much. Services will be held Thursday, February 15 at Heritage Funeral Home in Warner Robins, GA with viewing beginning at 10:00 a.m. and then a graveside service immediately following at Parkway Cemetery across from the funeral home at 11: a.m.
Well, damn. There's another man I've wanted to meet gone. He was a good man who looked after his wife first and worried about his car second. Who knows, maybe I'll still get the chance to meet him someday?
Although I never met him or knew him personally, Jim was no stranger to my inbox. We'd sporadically chat about my swap meet endeavors and hot rods because we are distant Georgian neighbors. Rest in Peace Jim, and my deepest condolences to the family.
So sorry to hear this about my friend Jim, a good man, who took really good care of his late wife, Joy, in her time of illness. He will be missed. Eddie
I’m sorry for your loss as well. The best for the family and friends as all come to grips with his p***ing.
My deepest condolences. Met Jim once at a Southern Slingshot event and he was one of the nicest people that I have ever met. He will truly be missed.
Bummer. I met and spoke with Jim a few times over the years at the Run What Ya Brung event at Silver Dollar Dragway in Reynolds, GA. He often set up a swap table and I would buy a few parts off him and we would shoot the **** for a bit each year. Good guy. Rest Easy.
Sad news indeed. My condolences to the family. Had the pleasure of meeting Jim and visiting his shop during a business trip to Warner Robbins. Enjoyed the stories and the knowledge he shared.
I think that's is his account used by his kid to inform us?. It really ****s to see so many HAMBers going to the big shop in the sky.
