Looking for dimensions to help with squaring up the frame and body in preparation of subrail, floor, door, and misc. panel fabrication for my DeSoto 3W rumble seat coupe.. I came up empty using the HAMB and Google searches.
Anthony, it's just a floorless, bottomless (lower 6"), wavy/floppy project I dragged home this weekend. I could probably get there eventually without the dimensions but having those reference points to go by will be great.
https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/a-little-work-on-a-33-plymouth-now-with-paint.933683/ I didn’t have any measurements for this. But it was fairly solid. Measurements from the frame and pieces of rotten wood were used to build new steel structure to replace the large wooden inner rocker parts. We helped with a 32 Chevy missing all its structure wood. We used the doors to align the body and squared the body with the ch***is.
Using the doors to square up the body would've been my first move with this car but I'm missing the p***enger door and the driver door is jacked. If I could get door opening dimensions, I can square the openings and set lower cowl placement then work from there. That's some nice work you did on that Plymouth build.
Wow! Good luck. It seems parts and pieces are very difficult to find. If your patient, parts pop up on e bay occasionally.
