I recently drug home this 1963 Impala sport coupe. The car is an original 4 speed v8 car with 409 fender emblems tuxedo black with black interior annd factory tach… and several other clues that it was an original 409 car. It also has an olds/pontiac 9.3 rear end swapped in and some pretty awful ladder bars. The car was built at the Baltimore, Md factory so I was hoping to find some local history on it if anyone recognizes. Allegedly was found in a wrecking yard in Northwest New Jersey. The PO didn’t really have any other history on it.

the most interesting part so far has been the discovery of a faded Bill Thomas Race cars sticker on the quarter window. It has an old line lock in it as well.

I have a '64 SS 4 speed car with a later 350 swapped into it. It's frustrating since the VIN only denotes whether it was a V8 or a 6 cylinder, it's very hard to nail down what the original engine was if you don't have it. A few guys were telling me to check what diameter the fuel line was and I had to laugh, as if any car in Wisconsin still has its original fuel line.

Unfortunately I don't have any history to share with you. But what you've got there doesn't look like too bad of a starting point, and X frame Impalas are pretty hot right now, so it should be worth the effort. Some neat old race-y details on it too, I hope you're able to dig something up.
