all depends on condition....we might be able to give you a ballpark if you post lots of detailed pics and describe it completely and accurately

There is no "numbers matching" for '57. Though it may have the proper date code on the engine. And you're killing me with the "new to the old skool rat rod look have always been into old cars mainly the street rods" quote in your profile... You really have no idea where you are... and of course the coming in with no intro thing is irksome.... maybe you should read this

    remember.. no intro.. no love..

    Post pix..

My uncle has a 56. He took the tailight bezels in to get rechromed and they offered him $1500 to buy them from him. 57's are pretty sought after since they have the most chrome, flashiest etc. They go for quite a bit...

  6. Well what i know is the origonal motor is in it motor, trans, etc.... is in the truck. I appologize for my lack of knowledge on the number matching aspect. I have not achieved or acquired the level of knowledge that you sir obviously have.... im as well going to appologize for not properly following your little intro process... you are 100 % right i have no idea where i am on this board nor do i care...... all i am after is info on what the truck is worth. am i a gearhead?, no, am i a fathful follower of von dutch and ed roth? no, nor do i care to be, do i get into cars that hacksaw johnny built out of heaps of **** that has been laying out in his grandmothers field for the last 65 years.... no
all i want to know is what its worth..... so i can cash out on it and do the things that i want to do... so if you can/will help with that info fine. if not then wwhy waste the time and effort of being an ***???????????
no love right back at ya

OUCH,,, This might not be the right place for a "angry young man" looking turn a quick buck on something he know nothing about. There is a little website called EBAY that you could place whatever "little" price your heart feel that your truck is worth. And most likely get it. I'll give you $ 5000.00 sight unseen for it if it runs. I am a gearhead,I like Von Dutch & Ed Roth,I DO get into cars that "Hack saw Johnny " built. But I would buy your truck any how. Have some respect for the knowledge around here!!!!!!!!!!

  11. i do have respect for knowledge and information and achievements, etc. but im not going to give it to someone who just wants to throw shots out cause i found a website that i thought i might get some insightful info out of it. and didnt follow his exact idea of how i should go about getting the info i need. like he said no love so why should i show it back. if he would have said hey man thats now how we converse here would you mind giving an intro then i would have thought about it.... but naah he didnt. as far as it running it did six years ago but hasnt been cranked since then so id say it prolly dont but thanks

  17. Old Cars Price Guide magazine is on the stands every other month and usually covers trucks in the back. Costs you the gas and like $5, and no one here flames you for it - I buy it about once a year, the values don't change enough to get it more often.

No one here owes you anything. If you want information, and have nothing to contribute in return, you should pay for an appraisal instead.

Ryan doesn't pay for this site so that you can maximize your profits.

People wonder why so many young people are ricers instead of rodders, then flame newbies for being new.

I'm a gray-breaded grandfather, been rodding longer than many of the "experts" here have been alive. I remember as a teen when I was building my first Model A coupe hot rod, and I remember which people were rude and brushed me off because I was an ignorant kid, and I remember which older, more seasoned guys excused my ignorance and taught me some things. Most of those guys in the latter group became lifelong friends; a number of them are in their eighties now, and we still get together and talk cars.

Everywhere I drive my Nomad or 46 Ford, young people come up and talk about what I'm driving. It gives me the opportunity to encourage them to get involved in traditional rodding, rather than putting coffee can exhausts on their ricers, or 22"s on their Camaros.

Okay dudes drop the blow torch and back the f@ck up from the flamin. This dude is a good dude and thought he had done a intro cept he didnt realize it was on the JockeyJournal and not the Hamb.He also thought that since he did one there that he did not have to here.So how bout helpin him out if ya can I have told him to do a little intro to get back in the good graces of the intro police. He aint as young as ya think and problabl has built more **** than alot of the key board rod builders anyhow. He came here cause I preached the HAMB gospel and look what happens.

He works for me as a body man has other projects and has ran into a small $$$$ money bind and doesnt really want to sell it but needs to know what he can get.Granted he didnt come across the best but when jumped on he is the kind that jumps back.I should know he works for me.

So back the f@ck off dude made a mistake for some of you I know cuttin your wrist and bleeding is the only thing that will make you happy. He is into rods and old bikes just in a corner right now and top it off doesnt need h***led.I will vouch for him.

So now that we got this outta the way lets get back to flaming another newbie:D

    Thanks for your time,
    Shoe
