The gentleman to the left is Mike Boyle, he was president of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 134 in Chicago. Boyle was also known as Umbrella Mike for the large umbrella he carried. It’s been said the umbrella was where business men and contractors dropped their bribes to ensure smooth sailing with the union.
Regardless, he had some great drivers and some of the best mechanics on his team.
