hey people well im back and to clear up some misunderstandings, the nor-cal hard core was a joke because some guy from texas was calling himself hard core so i was poking fun, and im NOT from fresno. and for the last time sorry for not posting my damn info, when i figure out how to do it i will. And all the F U's were to all those ass holes calling me a poser. Oh and hey lary ya i got home ok but the engine was frozen so i shit caned most of it. The only reason that i am even selling the project is cause my occupation is making me move around so i cant comit to a project right now.

  3. Who said Fresno was Nor Cal? Were right in da armpit baby. Nowhere , but an even drivin distance from everywhere! Maybe Rockabilly isn't hard enough for some, so they gotta upshift to HARDCORE!!That felt manly when I typed it. [IMG]

If you didnt manke it its geting way to big, there is lots of talk about an anti billet proof next year

How ironic. Are they gonna call it Goodguys?

I'd like to see a pic of this Chrysler coupe also.

It's funny how when there are a lot of what people think is cool they feel like it's not cool anymore. That's how you tell the people who are into hot rodding as a trend and will be onto something else next year. Oh and lets try this again too. What exactly sucked? Valid observations would be great from anyone. All I get from the whiners is that it's too big.

There is no anti Billetproof show but there is going to be a cool show that Jay and the Vultures are going to do back at Holiday Bowl. I think it's in July. I'm sure when all the details are ironed out it will get an official post. Because of who is putting it on their show has gotten mislabeled and misunderstood. If you want more intimate, that's what they're going for. But if it's fun it won't be small for long.

As for the whining from a few Billetproof attendees. We've gone through this before. 99.9% of people had a great time and loved it (everyone wants it to be two days). That's pretty damn amazing. Don't like it? Don't go. Pretty simple. That way it WILL be smaller.

FYI this year we are requiring photos with registration to curb the 3% of the cars who shouldn't have been there.

kirk i love billet proof, and i have always thought that it was an amazing show, but it is sad for someone who has been attending for a number of years to see it go from such a small intamate setting like the bowling alley which was a great location, with that awsom room where all the bands played that was right out of the 50's, to such a huge feild, where everyone and their cousin can come, and there is nothing special or original about it, not to mention a number of cars the should never have been allowed past the fence. Everyone i have talked to has been dissapointed with the show the last 2 years. Its not that next year we are going to be into something else at all, it just sucks to see a small scene blow up, because when it dose people from all walks of life will embrace it and it wont be so personal or original anymore, but one day the trend will go away and those of us who are still into it will have our small intimate shows back.

Been buyin' and drivin rods since 14...how about building and breaking and fixing and all the other stuff the real 'hardcore' rodders do? BTW, I will be at Billetproof North in my '40s style Flathead powered T bucket that I built on my own since I was 26 (I'm 28 now...that's two hard years of work on one car that I didn't buy.) Thanks, have a nice day! [IMG] Pete

Then go start your own FUCKIN show and quit whining about it on here...what do you expect someone to not let people into a show because they aren't some greaser/rockabilly fag that drives a flatblack ford with red steelies

I dont see what is wrong with billet cars anyways, all a car is is a piece of art that reflects its owners style. i have dressed and act conservative since i was a kid,(no tats on my neck, no rolled cuffs on my levis, etc.) and all you trendies whant to talk shit. but none of you are talking shit when you come to me for a pay check.i love all types of old cars stock, old school, ratrod, and yes gold chainer billet hotrods. i would rather drive the chopped 37 plymouth with a heidts chassis and blown hemi that i built than that billet proof picture you posted. but i still like your car too. remember putting down everyone else dosnt make you any better.

Jeez, this was one wild post! Could it have meandered anymore?

Old timers, cut new guys some slack. I thought this was a brotherhood of car nuts not a damb fraternaty with hazing of newbies.

Kurt, I only hope that I can finally get down to your show next year. It's got to beat the shit out of what we have up here in the greater Portland area. I guess when you live in cool car heaven you can complain about a show being too large. Man, I can only dream about seeing that many cool rigs in one place.

Danny (Dondano) gave me some hope that there will be something cool up here this year for HAMBers. One can only dream.....

Could it be that there mainly just for show and mostly owned by those who have never even changed their own oil, let alone built their own car. I love the return of traditionaly built rods and customs, finally some people have realized that cars are meant to be driven and not shown.
