My wife & I were hiking/surveying our property in SE Okiehoma last weekend. She came accross an old running board off the trail. So I started looking for the rest of the car.
Well I didnt find it right away, but the next day and about a half mile up in the woods I spotted some distinct sheet metal peeking out of the leaves.
I dug up what I could and piled it up for a picture to share with yall.
The running board is very solid & useable but the rest of the vehicle is not worth shit. Its mostly paper thin.
Whoever in HAMBland can identify what year it is gets a big ol high 5 from me and 100 free internets.... 20240220_082438.jpg 20240218_135816.jpg 20240218_135805.jpg 20240218_135811.jpg

I havent taken a measurement but by eagle eye this board looks longer than my 27 T roadsters boards.
EDIT: Looks like Mr. Squirrel got it figured out. Thankyou sir ! You may collect your 100 free internets now & the High Five if we ever cross paths in person.
Hope yall enjoy the pics. I walked a couple dozen miles to cover that gound.o_O

Yes, 1913 to 1925 RIGHT side running board. No door on the drivers side, note the worn through diamonds. Two brackets and you have a nice shelf. Bob

My brother has a dog like that. She (the dog) worked cattle all her life and the old farmer retired. Poor dog was bored to death with nothing to do and the farmer too old and tired to do much with her so my brother took her and gave her a good home.

They are a loyal breed when you give them some love so it looks like you got a great friend out of your excursion !

  16. Don’t forget Red Heeler and Texas Heeler.
I’m not sure what mine is so I’ll stick with the generic term.

All Blue Heelers and Red Heelers are Australian Cattle Dogs, and are related to the Australian Dingo.
The Texas Heeler is a cross-breed with an Australian Shepard.
    All excellent dogs.

  18. You could name the dog Mr T after the scrapmetal find. ( Or Red, Blue, Dingo ) Anyhow reminded me of the Aussie movie " Red Dog "

So the Dog... We named her Luna aka Lu Lu after my Great Gramdmother. My cousin up there is in her 70s & mentioned she wanted another dog. Some of the locals from Church had told her the same. So It worked out perfect for both of them.
Good for us as well because I'll be dammned if we were gonna leave her there alone.
I hope the folks who dump these animals like trash have to face the concequences one day...Thank yall for the positive comments.
They make me feel a little better about the people in this world.

Great dogs! If you have children/grandchildren she will soon be herding them around. They have a lot of energy and love to work.
