Last week was my birthday and my pops gave me a few pictures to hang on the shop wall. I had mentioned earlier that the motor in the roadster set an Ahra record at Mokan in 1968. Here are pictures of the progression of what the motor was in. 40 coupe, altered, front engine dragster and now a T roadster. Have the first round of powder coating back home. All the front suspension is at the sandblaster and then to the Powdercoater. 48D2ABC6-C356-4F25-AA2C-6E75B0E34015.jpeg

When I mocked the car up I used steel 7/16” carriage bolts to mount the steering box. I wanted to use stainless hardware after the frame is painted. So today I went to town to get some stainless bolt. Went to 3 different places and all they had was 3/8 and 1/2”. So I bought 1/2” and made my own 7/16” 399AC10F-2630-4E8F-9EAF-E0A0AE73A4E9.jpeg FC0FEE55-BC2B-4F00-AB54-467638BAAB20.jpeg

A little grinding to knock off the high spots, then a bit of bondo can really make a big difference.

Frame and bits have epoxy on them. He’s shooting two frames at once. 8CFD84CD-AE4A-45D1-A62D-7731E496FBB1.jpeg

    You're making great progress!
A simple rotisserie can really make working on the body a lot easier.
I was able to rotate the body with one hand.

Bought a battery Monday so hopefully One of the last things to fabricate is a battery box. Still have to build a door but it’s close to being done. 7364ACE9-EEB8-469A-91C4-B054688B274D.jpeg

  20. Would you mind sharing some details on the hinges, please?
I'm going to take a swing at making one also.

It looks like there is a gap between the deck lid and the top panel. Is that how they were originally?

    Very inspirational Thanks.

We just used repo. stock hinges. Everything outside is what it would look like stock. I still need to build an upper rain gutter.

I have been thinking about this for quite some time so I finally ordered a modelT transmission band cover after a model T buddy of mine couldnt find one in his stash. Covers the flat spot on my transmission cover and give the interior some model T flair. 59D86255-5663-4FF1-80D5-42F18DE0D14B.jpeg BFC1F772-1574-4115-8B52-DA7BB1ED4CD9.jpeg

Rusty, were you working on this the same time you were working on the 63 Rambler with Brooks?

I was. The rambler took up a lot of room in the shop.

Big day yesterday. The frame and a few bits and pieces got painted Indian motorcycle Indian red. I’m really stoked! 37755731-1107-4A1F-A447-EAA680AF3521.jpeg EBE66F76-E54C-40D5-998C-6D83901861F8.jpeg 0BA8CE7C-8115-4F1E-81DC-B148920DC67F.jpeg 4E965108-A9F9-447C-952F-5C7C04BA119D.jpeg

Yes sir I do. If I have another build some day I wonder what color I will choose? I better get the Indian color palette out and start dreaming.
