    viewing all your suggestions, this is how I solved the problem. I found an old valve cover and removed the baffle. Then I drilled a 1 inch hole in one valve cover and placed the baffle in my cover using JB liquid weld. A new grommet was installed allowing a pcv valve to be used. Photos included. Not that big a deal-h

    I tried to post my photos but something went wrong. I'm only using a tablet. That might be the problem. Anyway the problem of using a pcv valve on older valve covers was solved. Thanks for all who responded.
