I want to build my own axle and I need a ford kingpin sleeve. In the attached blueprint it is called a BOSS.

I can't find one yet on a Google search or here on the HAMB. I had a catalog from a guy many years ago that sold all the pieces and parts of a traditional build but I don't have it anymore.

Do you mean the ends of the axle themselves, through which the kingpins pass through?

do you own a lathe yet?

if not, are you ready to buy something you obviously need?

I cut the ends off a old bent drop tube axle once and used them on a straight axle .

Other wise any machine shop could make these fairly easy

I have a set that I would sell. I ended up not using them. These use a set screw to lock the kingpin.

Neither of those will work, you need a boss that is approximately 2 3/8 tall x 1 3/8 dia. with a hole sized for an .813 k/p to pass through easily. Those HRP bosses use later Ford pickup .859 k/p's.
I edited the height dimension ^, I forgot about the thrust bearing that goes under the axle boss.

seems if a guy had some 1.5" dia steel bar and a lathe, he could have made them already

Maybe Scout [International] king pin dia/spindles as they were a thing for a while do to more kingpin angle for enhancing weight jacking in cornering.

They are for sprint car axles based on International spindles originally. I have some stock Ford axles, I can cut the ends off one and send them to you.

Like mentioned above, a chunk of 1.5 inch diameter weldable bar stock, a lathe, and a 13/16 drill bit (0.8125 diameter), and you can make them pretty quickly. Just a little hint, run the drill bit backwards at low speed and using a honing stone, remove a few thousandths from the od. Say 0.005 thousandths. Then get a reamer to enlarge the bores to get the size spot on. Or if you have access to one, a Sunnen honing machine just like used to hone the spindle bushings with. However, leave the finish sizing until after you have welded the bosses to the axle tube.
