Don't want to confuse the matter, but I know a 1931 truck came with a wide or narrow box, that would require different fenders.
Could this be the case with a 32 truck?

No, the 32 pickup only came with one width box. The 33-34 box was the same width, but the frame was different width so the fender gap-taker-upper needed to be a different thickness.

Just remember the 5 window has 6 windows, and the 3 window has 4 windows!

Always thought the glass in front was a windshield to separate it from side glass or rear glass , nothing car related was a window , windows go in buildings .

Was blind spot coverage a thing back in the day?

Aren’t the body lines different between the two? 3W wider and lower in the rocker area? Rain gutters are completely different too.

They are two totally different bodies. 3W’s don’t have rain gutters. 259E1B15-254F-4766-BF8A-901F243A2753.png

If I had the money to be shopping for a 32, I'd go to the restoration guys for the judging books. They have been researching and documenting this stuff for a LONG time. Us rodders may not care about early, late, correct bolts and where the overspray covers, but they do and have it all laid out. A guy I knew would be able to tell if an OT car part was assembly line or dealer replacement part, it gets that detailed. This stuff matters when the price varies and someone wants X price for Y part. Get educated, then decide what's important and of value to you.
