Can’t figure this one out, on a chassis with no badging or body, thanks HAMB detectives.

Here’s a pic of the engine, it seems more recent than the 30/31 and has a down draft set up, maybe a later “spitfire” then again I could be wrong. Thanks again fellas

Posted a pic of the engine, do you think it looks like a later donor/upgrade? The access panels look different than what I could see for 30/31, thanks Dave!

Can you see the outlines of the cylinders in the block? My ‘32 6 cylinder you can see them.
Should be a stamped number on the block, should be able to identify the year then

I defer to someone who actually owns one, like @Budget36. I've ridden a few times in a friends '32 DB8 and I loved it.

I was just mentioning it’s that way on my 6 cylinder. But couldn’t make it out in the posted pic.
I know sometime in the early or mid 30’s Dodge went with a “normal” block.

When I get up today(night shift) I’ll see if the block is oriented properly to get a pic of what I’m talking about.

@Wurger is the car in your possession?
If so, you might be $$ ahead finding a newer 218, etc if yours needs a rebuild and you are not worried about originality. If the engine is ‘31/32, it has Babbitt poured bearings. So gets expensive if you need new ones to do it properly.

Dave, I rode in one at Keiser Oregon meet, it ruined me. Rode like a Cadillac. I also had my only drive in a screenside, if you remember?
