Features Corvette hot rods - picture thread

I prefer to call it a stroked 283.
Have one in my 57 .
TRW made forged pistons as did others.
Mines actually .060" over so a little bigger at 316 CI
Runs like any other hot rod 327 just down 11 CI .

A 4" bore does unshroud the valves a bit better and let's 2.02 valves work but I'm still around 375 hp with 1.94 461 heads

 

Judging from the hood, something hot rod lurks beneath it.

It did appear to be original. It drew quite a crowd.

Having a 62 and two non-HAMB Corvettes, I consider all Corvettes hot rods but I believe for this thread "hot rod" means modified not stock ones. Hope posters stay with the intent of the thread.
@KING CHASSIS, what do you say as thread starter?

 

This was discussed early in this thread and some folks said that all Corvettes are hot rods. I am not a Corvette aficionado, but I thought it would be a nice post. If you disagree, please use the report button and request to have the posts deleted. It only takes one. I can place them somewhere else.
