Greetings from Arizona - On the Mexican border. This is a 1953 Buick Bezel (the 1954 bezel looks a little different). It is "frenched" into the fender of my custom 1962 Volvo PV544. I had some difficulty getting this picture (needed a 3rd hand...) - it has some distortion due to the closeness of the camera (cell phone). Due to the depth of the recess, I could not get an accurate measure. The maximum width is "estimated" to be 9-1/4 inch to 9-1/2 inch. Hopefully, someone will be able to take a more precise measurement. Russ p.s. Moriarty deleted my build thread because it was not an American car.
Thank you very much for this info! super! It is surprising that we are removed your construction of your volvo! I do not understand.. mine is French! curious.. (well.. mine was originally drawn by the Americans.. even before the mercury 49!!! project failed sold to france! )
