I remember the boonies hill kinda like more recent sand traps. We lost a few header tubes there.

 

Thru the years the cars ran faster -- and onto the hill more freqently. Then they moved the traps to a 3/16-mile configuration -- the only one I've ever heard of. Then every class record was a national!
