Man i bought a killer chassis 32 pinched all new with frankland etc for a model a and i need to find out who sells the fiberglass sedan bodies i saw on here a few eks ago ........ help...an old guy out hahaha..........
Check with Dee Wescott auto restyling in oregon they used to do a bunch of A bodies, 1 800 523 6279.they are great people to talk to...
28-29 Model As have a narrower cowel and you have to pinch the frame more than with a 30-31. So you need to know what year your frame was set up for. Why don't you use a steel body? You should be able to score a good one for way less than a glass repop.
there is a company out of australia or england that was selling a glass a sedan body .....and i think a a400 .....gmt (the sheet metal guy ....geoff something....) was one ....and i think classic fabrication was the other.....which was hooked up with john west.....who i think ended up with dan fink's comapny .....brandon
uhhhhhhhhhh, I trhink ill keep it. actually need a 28 29 as it is pinched for that ...and i would take a good steel coupe or sedan or roadster i guess...
The fully tricked-out body from Bruiser will run well north of 6000 dollars. You can buy a running Model A for that kind of money and a decent sedan body for half that or less. Of course there will likely be a hell of a lot more work involved in getting a steel body with unknown rust problems in good shape but it's more sweat equity than cash outlay. That said it will be easier to find a 30-31 than a 28-29 which is more popular. If you aren't blinking at the price of the glass sedan then for similar money it shouldn't be too hard to find a non-running original with an excellent body in about the same price range or less if you get lucky. There is no shortage of Model A Tudor sedans out there. One look on Ebay will tell you that. On the other other hand 6-7 grand for a quality glass Model A body is not that high. Westcott is 50% higher than that. Most coupes are that high or higher. Roadsters are of course can be had for less, in fact you can get Brookville steel for that kind of dough, but a sedan is a heck of a lot more elaborate deal than is a roadster. The pics on the Bruiser site look nice but a look-see in person would be a really good idea.
