Finally started working on my '56 crown vic again and my wiring is a mess. Trying to identify what wireless goes where. This car was worked years ago and I'm unsure if it's original wiring. At this point I installed a '93 302 and an '86 AOD. Has an aftermarket HEI, Chevy alternator, and I've done the conversion to a manual fuel pump, running an Edelbrock carb and I've started it by hot wiring it. Trying to mate wiring to stock harness. 292 had an alternator on it prior. Have two items I need identified. Pretty sure one is the horn relay and possibly the other is the voltage regulator. Which is what I really need help with. What do I need to do with the wires on it to delete it. It doesn't look like the '56 regulators I see on the internet. Thanks. Voltage Regulator?? Horn relay??
I wish I could help but I ripped all of my old wiring out and started over with new harness. Try googling how to convert to internally regulated alternator, should be plenty of info out there.
