I've got a 1964-5 Northshore Speed and Auto catalog that says an Edelbrock F-657 fits Ford (55-63) 272, 292, 312 cu. In.

  6. I have an Edelbrock intake manifold that I didn't know what it fit, or what carbs it used. I sent Edelbrock a message, and they replied back with the info on what it fit, and what carbs to use.

It’ll probably bolt on any of the 272-312 head combinations, and maybe even a 238-256. But it’s really going to need the later heads with the larger ports and valves. Probably the smaller chamber ones to get the compression up (or pop up pistons).

Here’s a link to the casting numbers, scroll down till you get to the 1.92 intake valve sizes. Gives you some talking points. I know Portlands a big meet, but those are real specialty items with a thin market. The Ford Barn or yblocksforever might have a buyer. I know something about odd ball y block intakes, I’ve got an Algon unit for one.

I think they are worth a reasonable amount. But you’ve got to find the guy that wants one. If it were a Caddy, Olds, Pontiac or any Hemi, that would be one thing. But for every one of us y block guys there’s dozen of guys on more popular engines.

If it doesn’t move at Portland, send me a pm, I might have a couple leads you can pursue.

You are not nuts on the asking price. Take 5 if you get an offer.

Six years ago, bare manifold, damaged. Asking $700, sold for ? Worth a look, you might want to start higher with yours. Any of the parts to pick up the water/thermostat ? Linkage? You’ve got some time, a for sale post on the Barn or yblocksforever might get you a nibble or a bite even if it isn’t a sale.
