She'd probably still be helping if she hadn't gotten that hot steel between her toes.

My wife owns and drives a 33-5 window as her daily but she hates these with a passion!

That one is not far off from what filled car shows in the mid 60s to the early 70s along with coffins, phone booths & bathtubs. And they won awards.

I remember in the 60s that the judging was sometimes point based on how many changes you had made -- "you're the wiener!"

  11. I don’t know, I think it’s kinda cool. The interior looks like a boat, the amount of detail and work is incredible, good or bad, it would draw all of the attention at a local car show…

  14. I can’t tell you how proud I am of the tools I have amassed over the years! Many show winning hot rods have rolled out of my shop built with these tools. The next step will be a large Snap On tool chest to keep these babies in… 42B37A97-985D-4C58-BD58-550672DF4B5F.jpeg

You sir are a true craftsman. I have used many things as a hammer (ratchet, screwdriver handle, rock, jack handle...) but I understand you are using these lightweight precision tools for hammering. If I purchase similar tools from IKEA, can you teach me to hammer with them? :D

    Cheers,
    Harv

There have been a few times when I would have really liked to have had those tools in a bag under the seat.
