   What is the secret procedure to get trim moldings to snap into place using bathtub clips? I don't want to be too rough and regret my actions.

   Never heard of a bathtub clip?
   are you talking about these snap in trim clips? A little vaseline on the ramps will make em snap in easier

   Some 50's GM cars had oval holes with a "bathtub" shaped clip that is inserted in the hole and expanded with a tool to hold in place. The center 2 in this photo. The trim is then attached to that clip.
