Customs Headlight bucket interchange 47 Ford car

    I researched quite a while and it looks like 46 47 headlight buckets are different?
    I'm needing headlight buckets rings etc.for a 47 sedan. What years will fit?

    Can’t say that Ive ever seen them referenced as different, I guess the trim rings could be different but I’ve never noticed. They should interchange

    Are they all fully closed on the back?
    Is see some for sale but there s no closed bucket on the back

    Trim ring and actual light out IMG_2855.jpeg IMG_2856.jpeg with out the inner ring IMG_2857.jpeg and looking inside the fender at the bucket you can see the wire exiting the bucket IMG_2858.jpeg

    Many different years use that bucket?

    1946 thru 1948 headlight buckets are the same. The trim rings are different, '42 and '46, 21A-13045 are the same and '47-'48, 6A-13045 are the same.

    I think if you are having difficulty finding headlight buckets specifically for your Ford that it would be very easy to adapt ones from other cars since the 7" seal beam is universal in this era of car. The buckets all mount the same. You might have to drill a few new holes and that is about it. Customizers routinely french headlights with '52 and '53 Ford headlight doors to other makes.
