    Hi,

I am looking to buy a rearview mirror for my 56, but I am a little bit confused, whenever I search for it, I find the part but it always mentions that it is for Ford F100 Truck, so I am not sure, I am looking the one for the car. 2 Part Numbers emerge, which one is correct, or else can you please give me a link for the part. Thanks.

Both look like what I have in mine. The only difference between the two you posted is the quality of the mirror in them.

Someone on here found this mirror mount and put it in their car. I immediately went on eBay and found one. I don't remember what car it came in but reminds me of the side mirror mount. The mirror head is a day/night I got from Chevs of the 40s.

Call the suppliers and ask this question. Hopefully, they will have a person who knows.

Where did you get that 54-57 illustration and reference manual?

One of the suppliers back pages of the catalogs and one on e-bay . I bought them both over 11 years ago after I bought our 56. The illustration book has every part number and where they go but no instructions just exploded views. There is also a 3rd book. Hope this helps. IMG_0305.jpeg

That mirror bracket in your top photo is what my '56 had in it when I got it. My parts car didn't have that style. I don't know if Ford had 2 different ones based on trim level, or if mine had been swapped out before I got it.
