Picked up the 36 International today, I'm stoked. Lots to do. Need to get it running first. Let the fun begin
Spray everything you might need to get loose now. Lube the chassis, the hinges, everything that's supposed to move. Future you will thank current you. Looks like a half ton of fun, with inflation that's a full ton!
Probably my favorite thing to do. Get it clean and pound out dints. Truck was rode hard and put up wet. It was owned by a mining co. in Montana
What’s the over/under on the number of nice you find (I guess 7) I love corn binders, I have a 39 waiting for me to get to.
Let’s see, vehicle of choice, check, build plan, check, insanity defense in case it all goes sideways, double check. Carry on.
Get it running first. Cranks but no spark. 6v to the coil nothing there after. Coils probably shot.Havent really gotten into it yet. Usual pull apart , bang stretch , cut ,patch, sand. Then on the second day I'll paint
That's a really nice truck. Back in the fifties and sixties my dad had international trucks he used for his business. One was a small dump truck and I drove it a bunch of times to pick up car parts. I couldn't believe how low first gear was. My older brother said that without a load in the truck I should start out in second gear. Driving that truck helped me when I got drafted into the Army. I was in the engineers, and we drove deuce and a halfs at times. That looks pretty solid. Good luck with it.
Those are nice looking bodies. I had just a cab just like that that I found. Had US Pumice sign on the doors .
