I am getting ready to order subfloor and floors for my 30 model A roadster. I remember Brookville having basically of the parts. When I go to their website now, it looks like a shell of a website. The product page lists nothing. Are they still in business? Do they still sell direct to consumer? Do I need to purchase through a dealer? https://brookvilleroadster.com/
I imagine they're still in operation. Says right at the top of the website that the site is a Work in Progress and check back for updates. The bodies section shows prices, they have a list of shows they are going to, and the phone still works. Yep, I'd say they are still in operation.
I purchased a dash from them a couple years ago and did it online with a credit card. Parts showed up no problem but I got a bill from them a few weeks later. I checked CC statement and they charged it. I called them and they didn’t know what happened but they said I was all good and I didn’t have to pay bill. Not a big deal but kinda strange. At first I thought it was some kind of scam.
There is no parts listing on their website but finding what you wanted on it has always been a challenge as it isn't a very well setup site as far as sorting through and finding what you want.
I had an issue with an order I placed in person at York last year. Paid in full, show discount, etc... A few months go by, and no parts. I called up and they had it "mis-filed" as to be delivered to York in '24. Uhh....? It got sorted out; I got my piece. There were some quality issues that needed to be addressed; mine was a 4" recessed firewall for a '29 (Went through 3 pieces before I was satisfied). I did get billed twice at one point. To be fair, the billing got straightened out and I ended up with a useable part at the end of the day. I have bought from them before without any issue though.
8bbl427, As a couple people have stated, just call them. I have a 31 Roadster body on order for pickup a Carlisle in April. Ordered back in November. I just called, talked about what I needed, set the sale up, easy peasy.
They were set up at the KYANA swap meet a couple weeks ago, with bodies, frames and sheet metal parts. later kb
I ordered a 29 rear clip [ $2,900.00 ] to be picked up at the Knoxville N S R A show. Nice and snug in a box. Red oxide primer to hide damage. I didn't get around to mounting them for about 6 months. So I guess it was too late to complain. The tops of the 1/4 panels were beat up beyond belief. I'm a pretty good body man I worked for several hours on each one. Hammer, dolley and bulls eye pick. I finally quit and Bondo skim coated the tops. The left 1/4 panel where it come around on top was sticking up in the air. The right lower right just behind the wheel well was curve was all wrong. The lower rear panel was sort of V shaped instead of a nice smooth curve. Flange double schrunk in the middle. They should have sold them as seconds and priced accordingly , not retail. How do you suppose the tops of the 1/4 panels got beat up?
Thanks to everyone who answered. I was afraid this was another business that faded away. I will have to dig out my old paper catalog to look up parts and then give them a call. I am going to be building a ‘30 roadster on a ‘32 frame. Is Brookville the best source for factory style floors for this? I don’t have to be 100% factory. Going to run a flathead and T5.
They used to have real nice catalogs for a few bucks, do they still send these out? Ideally you could just note down the part numbers from the catalog and then phone Brookville. Printed catalogs to me are always better than websites, I think because things have to be logically arranged before printing.
Yes, fully edited before going to the printers, who may also QA. Then there is the "it didn't say that yesterday" problem for sites.
In little bitty hard for 77 year old eyes to see it says that the "new" website is a work in progress. I'd surmise that it is slooooow progress.
