I bought a Fenton dual intake for my 235 with intentions of running a pair of Carter W1s. I didn’t realize the carbs are a different bolt pattern. Is it advisable to fill and retap the 235 intake for these carbs or am I better off finding a 216 dual intake? I did a quick google search and it seems there’s not many new dual 216 intakes around. Thanks in advance for any advice.

Yeah I read in another thread that running 216 carbs on a dual setup work great for the street. I just didn’t realize the 235 dual intake had a different measurement where the carbs bolt on.

  5. Weld them up, redrill and tap. You can get adaptors but they look like crap. I just did this. I made a threaded aluminum bolt to fill the holes to make the welding them up easier.

That’s what I figured. Thanks for replying and confirming my train of thought!
