yesterday was bad ***, and i am already planning for next year. hopefully within a day or so i will have some pics and videos up. after driving the chevy for almost 300 miles i made my first p*** ever in that car, spitting sputtering and backfireing it made it down the 1320. we cleaned the fouled plugs on the left bank and pulled apart one of the carbs and found a some of trash stuck between the needle. i managed to get the car deep into the 14's then drove it back home for another 200 miles. cant wait till next year!

I too had a blast, even though I didnt have my car finished to be able to bring it. My daughter and I rode up on my motorcycle and enjoyed a beautiful day on the ride and at the track. Lots of cool cars and friendly people and lots of fun.

It was a great day! Saw lots of old friends and made a few new ones! Man, those exhibition cars were AWESOME! Ed became a rockstar. The timing clock got screwed up and was off by 4/10s of a second when Rusty ran..... it was the strangest thing... but he was a good sport about it! :p Way to go everybody else.

We wanted to go back to Dallas after the event, but decided to drive further toward Austin to Taylor to eat dinner. To bad we got there when everyone was leaving. Left out of Taylor at about 10:00 p.m. to head back to Dallas. Separated the tread on the driver's front tire back almost right infront of Temple Acadamy at about 11:00p.m. Changed that in the dark, then headed back on 35. Waterpump sprung a leak on 35 just north of Waco and the spraying water was grounding out the ignition system as I was driving. Backfires kept us awake for a few miles before pulling over and fixing the problem. Always good to carry spare parts when running alone in the middle of the night! Got back into dallas at about 2:30 a.m. Whooo... Interesting drive in the banger! All and all, I couldn't have asked for a better day! :D Thanks Kontinentals!

Dang Elrod, sounds like an exciting trip. Your gal got to learn more about old cars than she bargained for!

****s that Dirty31 didn't get his patch. It wasn't for lack of trying. He ran that thing hard all day. And I know how he feels. Two years ago my last p*** was 99.86mph.

I hated to spectate all day, but it was fun. I saw much more thanI might have if I was racing. That's OK, my project should be rolling by this time next year, maybe sooner if I'm lucky.
My wife and her buddy had a blast and we weren't even home when she announced that she could hardly wait for the Round Up!
    Thanks to the Kontinentals!

    Same here, D.W.!

I got to shake hands with Brian (B***) and Buzzard, Too!
    oh, and The Fidgeter also!
Lux, I missed you somehow. Catch you next time.

It was cool to put faces to names and just get into the whole scene. It was rough that things didn't go better for some, but overall I was proud to sit up in the stands and root for everyone. I didn't expect to see a 10 second coupe and must say, I don't think I saw a single safety hazzard, or at least none that couldn't be fixed by rasing a club plate a few inches on the rear bumper.

    Good show All!

This year was my first time at the track, and I'll say that it was definitely one of the coolest things I've witnessed in a long time. It was fun watching the cars haul azz down the strip, and just seeing all the cars and people hangin out. I put a lot of faces with names on here. I'll be back next year fo sho!! :D
