I've seen pics of your work. No doubt you could handle it. It's easier if you're already bald tho.....:)

  7. Mad skills! I'm taking notes over here!! :)

It's been a while back, so I've forgotten, but didn't you say you hope to have it ready for CCR this year?

That’s my goal. I'm working every day toward it. It’s easy to see why so many chops get short cuts on the detailed stuff. Blessed to have tools and a shop to work in. :)

It's official, I'm permanently affected by your work. Clearly you can "see" things that matter vs shock value. So good...

Ready for paint. Never mind the TT2’s, they’re covered by Caddy sombreros. IMG_6409.jpeg

  13. So, mile deep black, or another tone, or lace? What will it be?

At this point I'm just going just spray single stage urethane. One good thing about black is it's not hard to match and from a distance it doesn't look too bad. As it sits in the picture, the front fenders are single stage urethane and the door and hood are sixty six year old lacquer. Although the car is a very solid overall, there is some roughness around the edges in places. I plan to do a complete repaint at some time in the near future. However, there is a ton of value in a ride that looks good overall and not having to worry about things like rock chips and the like. My main interest in old vehicles is that they can be comfortably driven and enjoyed.

  15. Looking soooooo good! I do have to ask though, since I love Tq Thrusts, how you got the sombreros on there without scratching up the rims?

Nice trick on the spindle/hubcap gimmick. High speed Velcro works every time.

The little car is coming along beautifully.

  25. “from a distance it doesn’t look too bad” If I saw this car, I would walk past a dozen others for a close up- be that at a show or on the street. These lines demand that. Thank you for sharing your good work.

By looking at your shop and work I can tell this is not your 1st rodeo. Love the workmanship.all I can say is the Insurance Co. DO NOT pay for this caliber of work. Thanks for sharping. Been bending metal for 65+ years.
