    hello my friends
would need tips on how to get my speedometer to work.
Has a mechanical gauge and a Borg Warner T5 gearbox with electronic output. What tips do you have for putting this together? is it the speedhut speedbox that applies or do you have another suggestion?

    Happy Easter

There was someone who posted on the ultimate t5 thread who did the necessary machine work to convert the extension housing over to a mechanical speedo drive. Not quite sure how to go back there and look him up.

My supplier for the GPS box quit production so I no longer carry anything. I like the GPS to cable drive solution and Speedhut make a good product. Cable X is good, just more of a pain to dial in calibration wise.

GPS doesn't work under stacked-deck bridges, or in tunnels.

I run Dakota Digital EDC drives in customer builds.

Push the ****on, drive a measured mile, push the ****on again. Done.

You connect two wires to the VSS, in addition to the power wires.

VSS wiring pigtails are available online for about $10.

A buddy of mine built a 51 Riley roadster with a mid-90's Caddy Northstar behind the driver. He used part of a body of a Mercury Mercur which had a mechanical speed and tachometer. The Caddy transmission had an electronic output for the tach and speedo. He had to have the Caddy dash in the wire loom (hidden under the hood) to get the electronics on the engine to work. He took the stepper motor and needle out of the Caddy dash and mounted in the Mercur dash. After a lot of fiddling he got it all to work. Sloan09.jpg
