After reading several carb linkage post and looking at umpteen pictures I have a cheap and effective solution to a non-problem! After figgering out all the geometry and such of linkage I like to buy the chrome plated tubing from Home Depot/Lowes....(the stuff that supplies water under the sink) It's SHINEY....it's big enough for linkage rods/all thread to go through....it cheap....dresses up even a stock looking engine bay...easy to work with....not so fat it looks gaudy. Simply remove each section of your 'correct sized linkage' and slip it thru the shiny tubing and re-attach ! 6sally6
You just now figuring this out? It also make good vacuum line, just join each end with a section of rubber. It's chrome plated copper, will last for years..
I've been known to use the chrome drain pipe pieces for elbows and such on radiator hoses. Similar thing, rubber on each end and shiny in the middle.
