So, I am trying to install the new front-end bushings and I'm having some issues with the upper control arm rear bushing. I have been looking for pics of the control arm rear hole, to see if mine has a sleeve, or something, there that shouldn't be. It's the end that is somewhat extended (wider) and the inner half has what I would describe as a sleeve and it appears to be way to tight--I put the calipers on it but don't remember what it read, but it seemed considerably tight. I thought the "sleeve" might have been left behind from the old bushing, but it doesn't look like it is, so now I'm really confused. I think one of the new bushings is ruined and the other I think I can still use. Anyone have a pic? Thoughts?

BTW, just to clarify, my kit wasn't very straight forward on what went where so I did contact the place I purchased them from, so I'm relatively sure I'm trying to put the correct one in.

    Thanks

So here is pic of my upper control arm. I'm wondering if this "sleeve" is supposed to be there, maybe it came off the old bushing? Seems like it makes it too tight to get the new bushing in. Thoughts?

The last set that I did I removed the outer steel shell, the new bushings have the outer shell that gets pressed into the control arm.

So are you saying that the part in the control arm I'm referring to is the outer shell? It's only the "half" piece on the inside half of the arm, the other half, the outside half, is part of the arm. Also, since the bushings are pressed in from the outside it doesn't make any sense to me that this piece would be part of the old bushing since it's on the inside.

I did find your stuff in my searches, thanks. I'm only having issues with the one bushing and your upper control arm is a little different, the rear facing bushing hole isn't extended (wider) like mine. I'm not sure what the tolerances should be on a press in bushing but on that inner cup it's about .15 smaller than the bushing. That may be perfectly fine, I don't know. If it is then at least I know it's just me.
