Hello.. I just picked this up...seller says is montepellier...he said it was a van that he cut the box off.... I haven't seen anything like it and I hope the mods let this thread for a while to see of we can figure it out.
15 or 20 years ago, I saw an article on delivery vans in a truck magazine. It took me a while to "Google" some info. Montpelier Manufacturing Company, Montpelier, OH I eventually found this on Ebay: https://www.ebay.com/itm/224603943120 Russ
I think it’s time to find another truck box to go behind this front end,I will be watching for a new project, lol
Man thank you so much! Great read thank you. I have a 50s school bus hmmm.. But I really need a toronado based car hauler.
I was thinking IH also. I think their delivery truck was a Metro? I was getting parts for my 63 IH and asked if by chance they had the round clutch and brake pedal rubbers for my 55 IH. He reached behind himself and grabbed two out of a big box and said, "they still use them on the Metro delivery trucks". This would have been about 1970. https://www.cl***ic.com/veh/1950-international-harvester-metro-45jPD5n/
Holy Cow! I was thinking how cool it would be to have a Metro to pull my FED. The Snap On one sold for $192,000!
