Just watched the video. TIG, Pullmax, and a ton of talent. I've never seen TIG welding without a foot control, looks like your system works fine. I used to Heli Arch aluminum, still haven't had a chance to TIG steel, maybe this it the year. Bob

looks like you can make one nice car and one "race car" out of the scrappy bits! ...three W doors are killer expensive...has anyone ever tried building one from a '33-4 sedan door? looks similar...I also think a '35-6 4 dr. sedan has a similar panel above the deck where the roof line meets but don't quote me on that...following!

thanks everyone! yeah its alot of work but i have the time for a project of this caliber.

yeah thats the plan, a really nice unchopped fendered hot rod, and a bonneville style chopped fenderless coupe. im so excited about this .

i like a finger switch with tig because hardly ever are you just welding on a bench sitting down. i used a foot pedal for years and its just annoying in any out of position welds, i can do it but its a pain.

You say switch. Do you mean an on/off ( in 2p or 4p) or one of those clever tig buttons, press more for more power, things? An invention by 4014.com iirc.

So some progress on the 32! I started foxing the roof and the trunk opening, here’s the pictures

    first the drivers rear roof

next I made the catwalk with half of the beltline. I made/bent it in one piece to be like factory. There’s a test piece in the pictures.

That’s all for now. Saving for the subrails at the moment. Thanks for looking!

Awesome work, Travis. Not many people would have tackled this one, but it's going to turn out great.

    2 questions for you,
So I’m guessing you’re not going to unchop/rechop this now?
Always noticed the Civil shop board in the background, you skate(still)?

yeah so finding/ making the pieces to make it whole again just to cut it back out would be a fruitless effort especially since i am keeping the same chop unlike before when i think i wanted it a little less aggresive. and i am going to be building an unchopped one after this one.

and i dont anymore but i wish i did, just no time for it. i still watch some skate videos from time to time.

Was this piece bought or built? I'm not a sheet metal guy, but if these odd ball pieces can be bought, that means my next project can be bought in a lot rougher shape than my current one. Thats the only way I'll be able to afford a 32..
Thanks for posting and keep it up! The youtube videos are great as well!

yes this piece is a brookville one, got a good deal on here and im using it to patch the old one. i think its a good idea to keep the original ford striker location.

Do a good job on the lower trunk opening corners. Can be a trouble spot down the road. Your working miracles.
