I've been looking for new chrome 16", 5 on 5-1/2" 1940 Ford rims for some time now. The only place I see them is Speedway and there appear to be certain quality issues with them. I will not be running caps so I need 5 lug not the silly looking 10 lug. Is there another source for decent quality rims out there? I might even consider chromed originals if they were decent.

^^^^^ There centers have knubs on the outside of the center for dog dish type caps.

I think you guys are looking at the wrong series wheels. The Vintage Series seems to have the correct caps and vents. But make sure the cap diameter is the same as stock before ordering.

The issue I have with some of these is they only show pics of the wheel with the caps on. It would be nice to see the detail behind them.

Turns out that the wheels Speedway sells are Wheel Smith, the reviews regarding grind marks and weld joint have me
    questioning them.

I guess I personally got lucky as I ordered a set from Speedway and they turned out great.
