I keep the beer in the garage fridge. Even if you forget what you went out there for, can still get a beer. Win win.

I am not going there (FB) either. Probably have to have an account anyhow. I have never had one of those.

I did that yesterday. Had got pulled over at 2:30 am coming home from work. Got a warning for a headlight out. Before work yesterday went to AZ to get bulbs. Walked in, looked around “oh yeah, need some coolant”. Paid for the coolant and went home.
And the jug of coolant wasn’t even in a shiny container!

Geez guys..........I think all you have to do is click on it like any other attachment someone posts. I don't have a Facebook account that tells the whole world all about me and my family, I just get on there to use the "Marketplace" where they sell a lot of stuff I'd never find if it weren't for them. I sell things on there as well. I have a LOT of good stuff in my shop that I got ONLY because someone had it on Facebook Marketplace. Don't know what you guys think happens there, but it's pretty simple to use.......and the video is pretty funny (IMHO).:)

My best one was a few years ago while I was still working. I was frantically looking for my car keys. Time was running out and I was going to be late for work, finally my wife says “are you looking for the keys in your hand?” Ummmm

Manage a body shop and repair facility. Don't know how many times one of my technicians are looking for their flash light and it's turned on sticking out of their back pants pocket.

Couldn't find my gl***es. So I took the gl***es off my head and put 'em on so I could see better to find my gl***es.

    Boy, was my face red.

I talk to myself a lot these days.
    "Ok... we need a screwdriver."
I might even sing about it on the way to the screwdriver drawer.

    "We need a screwdriver
    We need a screwdriver
    We need a screwdriver
    Oh yeah, baby uh-huh..."

If I can't remember what I was doing I at least might remember what I was saying. Or singing.
    No guarantees.

    "Oh..............
My gas cap is sitting on top the car
My gas cap is sitting on top of the car..."

GUILTY! I seem to spend about as much time looking for the tool I laid down and left in a spot as I do. working on something. Back when I was working as a mechanic I would buy heavy duty TV trays at yard sales and use them as tool tables next to the car I was working on so I never set a tool down on the car and had what I had out of the tool box all in one spot.

Kind of like Fred Sanford, I have gl***es all over the house and in the garage and only use them when reading or working with small things. I find myself trying to put gl***es on over top of the ones I already have on. By the time I get that figured out, I forget what I needed gl***es for. And that is a good day!

Reminds me of an old story. Wife sends husband to the store to get milk, bread, and eggs. She tells him "Write it down so you don't forget something." Of course, he tells her " It's only 3 things. I don't need to write it down." He heads to the store and when he gets back, he's got vanilla ice cream and sprinkles. The wife goes ballistic. "I told you to write it down! You forgot the chocolate sauce!"

So true, don't get the irrational fear of Facebook; ironically they are here, which is pretty much similar to a Facebook group dedicated to vintage and "period correct" hot rods.
Dammit, now I can not recall why I sat down at my computer...

Happens to me multiple times a week. Usually recall on my way back after wondering why I went there. Trying hard to practice being mindful, but been misplacing my keys and my phone a lot lately. Not fun at all…

I can honestly relate to the tool situation. I'm quite organized inside the box. Outside not so much. But I can lay something down and I swear it's next to me, but I spend atleast 20 minutes looking for something I just laid down.

There was a song in the 50's. The first I ever memorized.
The FB prob is cause he is not focused as Ryan is.
The song ***le is "If you don't know I ain't a gonna tell you" by George Hamilton IV

Worst thing is putting a part down to fetch a tool, then forgot where you put the part... then forgetting where you put the tool.
